The Music Angel Foundation exist to empower the people of developing countries to improve their own futures, primarily though the supply of portable power banks and community managed off-grid power systems.
Music Angel Mobile Charging is owned by the charitable organisation the Music Angel Foundation, with all profits going to their projects.
The Foundation is currently in the early stages of its project in Rwanda, after 2 years of fundraising through events across Europe. Music Angel Foundation in Rwanda aim to distribute portable power banks through the school network, powered by off-grid solar power installed in schools.
Given to children, the power banks will enable families to have a source of light and power outside of daylight hours.
Every child at a participating school will receive a power bank, and will be required to attend school every day to recharge the device.
Music Angel’s project works to bring two key improvements:
Firstly children will be encouraged to attend school more regularly by their families in order to keep the device powered.
Secondly costs of Kerosene lamp fuel and mobile charging will be reduced for families
Both are essential expenses that are a large burden on many families finances.
Through the project Music Angel Foundation hope to provide not only direct assistance through the donation of power banks, but a local economy and self sustaining system managed by the community it impacts. Schools could be able to monetise the equipment, and local people could be able to gain employment and training in the upkeep of off-grid systems.
We must not forget the core aim of Music Angel Foundation’s Rwanda project is to encourage and facilitate basic education to those who need it most – but we think it’s never a bad thing to dream big.
Thank you for your support so far – lets work to build a better future together.
