What do I get from volunteering my time with Music Angel?

We’re a close knit team here at Music Angel, and we want you to be a part of it! Enjoy the festival with like minded people, who all want to do something good, for a good cause and at the same time enjoy some of Europe’s best festivals for free!

What will I be doing?

Our volunteers are the core of our customer interaction and battery swapping team. You will be under the guidance of one of our experienced tent supervisors and will be helping explain the service to customers, swapping and charging batteries. On the stall you will not be alone, and will be working in teams of 2 – 6.

Entry to the festival

In return for a maximum of 3 x 8 hour shifts you will be free to enjoy the festival. Over longer events we will try and make sure that these shifts give you the Sunday completely free to see the bands.

Secure Camping

You will be camping in the crew camping area alongside the rest of our team, and yes it does have nicer toilets and showers! You will also be able to park your car at the festival (As long as you let us know well in advance!).

Freebies!

As I’m sure you can expect, you will get free phone charging all weekend. You will also be able to access our array of lunch snacks throughout your shift, including sandwich provisions, crisps and an ever expanding number of tasty snacks! Some events or shifts may also include a hot meal.

It goes without saying that there will be free access to tea/coffee/juice throughout the event.

How does it work?

Signing up to volunteer is simple:

1. Click the link below & read the terms and conditions carefully.

2. Create a profile on our volunteer portal, taking care to fill in your email address, name and phone number correctly. We conduct regular checks so please ensure that you can provide us with a valid ID and documents to show your right to work in the UK. (Unfortunately all volunteers must be 18 or older at the time of the event.)

3. Once your profile is complete, navigate to the ‘events’ page and click apply on the event you wish to volunteer at.

4. You will now be prompted to pay your deposit to secure your position. Unfortunately we will not be able to hold your place until you have paid your deposit. (PayPal is by far the fastest, and will be able to be returned to you faster)

5. If you pay via bank transfer then please email us at volunteering[at]musicangel.no and let us know, we will then check we have received this before accepting your position.

6. Once we have received your deposit you will be accepted to the event, and notified by email.

7. Hold fire now, and closer to the time of the event one of our team will be in touch to add you to our closed volunteer Facebook group. Here you can ask any questions and meet other volunteers that are coming to your event!

8. Our staff will be in touch to provide you with more details about arrival, camping and the basics of the role you will be fulfilling.

As is often the case, we do have to ask for a deposit in order to secure your place with us. We have kept this as low as possible, at £50 we think this is a fair guarantee that you will fulfil your shifts with us. Your deposit will be returned as soon as the festival finishes, and we have confirmation that you completed your allocated shifts.
